Everyone has a brow story, here’s mine 🌸
Out of all my make-up routine, brow is the one that took me the longest to learn. At one point my brows were so thin I had to rely on imagination to find where they are. On days where I get the brows right (the good brow day), everything is sunshine and butterflies. On days my imagination fails me, I’d be rocking two caterpillars on my face and my day is already ruined before it begins...
After years of pencilling my brows, I was tired and looking for a more permanent solution. I first tried microblading in the summer of 2011 and I still remember that day like it was yesterday. In my consultation, I explained I wanted a more arched brows, but the salon I went to insisted that straight brows are in and would make me look younger. As you probably expected, it didn’t turn out so well. I came out with two very straight thick brows that made my face look even rounder.
Fast forward to 2017, I decided to give my brows another try. By then my brows faded quite a bit, and I was getting them done by a trusted friend in the industry. We communicated a lot before the procedure and really took the time to nail down the shape I wanted. The result? Beautiful and natural brows that lasted me a good two years before touch up! Nothing beats waking up to good brow day every day!
So.. what’s your brow story?
When it comes to brows there’s no one size fits all. Make sure to communicate clearly with the artists and REALLY take the time to draw a shape that suits you. 🌿
